                                                                         Lou Beach

                                                                Happy Halloween!

This is a rad montage that Lou Beach created for Springfield Paper during the mid 20th century. He is a very talented and creative artist and digital designer. He has produced work in all fields of art and entertainment from album covers to advertising posters. His art is provocative and mind jarring and always gives you something to think about.

                                                         Maggie Taylor [1961-present]

I love this piece by Maggie Taylor from her collection Almost Alice. This is a whimsical rendering of an alligator bathing in the swamp. I love her use of depth of field and range of tones she applies to her colors. Maggie Taylor is a fantastic digital artist who creates very unique and somewhat antique style of   imagery with a slightly dark undertone.
                                                     Surrealist Rene Magritte [1898-1967]

This is piece by Rene Magritte titled Horse Riding. Magritte was a surrealist artist of the 20th century who used surrealism to express his very unusual view of the world. This piece shows a women riding a horse through the woods and each panel hes created has a different dimension placed on the horse and rider. I like the multi dimensional affect he created and the color pallet he chose. The colors are very warm and soothing to view. This is familiar in paintings by Monet'.
                                                          Hannah Hoch  [1889-1978]

Hannah Hoch was a  graphic designer and conceptual artist from 1916 to 1963. She used the montage style to create thought provoking, inspirational and sometimes controversial artwork. This is a piece of her work from 1931 titled the Wedding Couple. I found it to be very introspective for the time period and also somewhat reminiscent to the surrealism of Dali, my favorite artist.

Sea Launch

This an aerial shot I took of the Sea Launch. This was a unique opportunity to photograph this amazing mobile satellite rocket launch pad and command center ship. This platform and ship are owned by a privately owned company called Sea Launch. They are an independent contractor that specializes in satellite placement and with this launch pad they have the capabilities to position a sat rocket anywhere on the globe to launch for specified coordinates.

Port of Los Angeles

Aerial photo I shot over the Port of Los Angeles of a small section of the container staging area. Thousands of containers off-loaded daily bringing us more stuff we don't need and can't afford but we must have!! Amazing
